Meteorologist overview
Meteorologist is a simple interface to weather provided by weather.com. It provides the ability to show the weather in the main menu bar, displaying more detail in a pop-up menu, whose contents are customizeable from the preferences. The source code is available.

Been a user since it was in early development. It is very unique in it's presentation without ads and connecting to multiple services. The 4.0 version killed that opinion quickly. The constant upgrade nagging when the upgrade wasn't compatible with the machine it was installed on. The upgrade didn't even work on the 1 compatible machine I had. The system version requirement was a huge pill to swallow for version 4 since this app was always compatible with every new or old version of macos I knew of(not without issues but it would work). Looking for alternatives currently..

Well even after 4.1 it still crashes often on no contact when getting data! I'm really wondering about the programming at this point!

Looks like it needs "rossietta's" assistance to play on Silicon Mac. On my new Mac I refuse to install any helper.

I have been using Metro for over 10 years, and I'm just so sick and tired of its half-witted design and constant need to be updated to come back into compliance with the websites it get its data from that I am dumping it.
I am officially ready to admit that these developers are clowns. From now on, I will not have menubar weather data, I'll just get it directly from the various meteorological websites.
By the way, I'm a meteorologist.
