Pearcleaner is an open-source app cleaner inspired by Freemacsoft's AppCleaner and Sun Knudsen's Privacy Guides post on his app-cleaner script.

Still unclear as to whether this program is as good as, or better than, the excellent free AppCleaner. As I have commented before, AppCleaner is reliable, easy to use, and just works. Like other cleaners, there are times it does not find every file associated with an application that is being removed. But I have that covered, as I just then launch another excellent free program EasyFind to find the remaining files that AppCleaner missed. AppCleaner and EasyFind: definitely a winning pair!

Although this is version 3.4.1, I had not seen or tried this one before, odd.
I now use Trashme 3 and am very satisfied with it.
I used Trashme and Pearcleaner side by side for a while and Trashme displayed more related files to delete in 9 out of 10 times. So not very good I guess.
Pearcleaner's interface isn't really for me either. Seems more like a Windows 11 program . Of course that is something personal.
It is free though. But unfortunately does not work properly compared to other uninstallers like Trashme.

Not a review, but more like a query. I have been using the excellent program AppCleaner to remove applications I no longer want nor need. Wondering how this one, which is inspired by Freemacsoft's AppCleaner, compares with AppCleaner (also free). There are times where AppCleaner does not find every file associated with a app I want to remove, but I have that issue resolved. I just launch another excellent free app called EasyFind to find those other files. Works like a charm!
