Simple Comic overview
Simple Comic has a variety of useful features including multi-page reading modes, a thumbnail browser, and support for both Right-to-Left and Left-to-Right reading (for manga).
Simple Comic also includes a QuickLook plugin so that your CBR/CBZ comics can be previewed within the Finder with rich icons.
What’s new in version 1.9.5
- Added Find command that uses the Vision Framework (OCR) to find text anywhere in a comic
- OCR/Vision Framework features can be disabled using the Recognize Text checkbox in the Preferences
- Now that Find is mapped to Command-F, Full Screen has been remapped to Command-Control-F

Very good app. Note, MAS version is 1.9.5.
Note too that there is another app by same name https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/21987/simple-comic. I will not compare or say which was first but QL plugin is really nice.

I've been using Simple Comic for a Couple of decades. It was the Simplest (Hence the Name) and the most unfailing Comic-Viewing Client around. No Bells or Whistles - just Trustworthy, Stable and wonderfully Dependable.
Then a few years back it went bad and the Dev never Adjusted or Fixed the App... lots of Errors just trying to View or Open any .cbr or .cbz files.
Then, just recently in the App Store, I saw that Simple Comic had been Updated, I assume by someone other than the Original Developer. Kudos.
