AirPods Battery Monitor overview

Airpods Battery Monitor is a small Mac OS App that allow you to see easily your AirPods Battery (Case/ Left / Right) in real-time. It is a shortcut to remove the long and painful access from the Bluetooth Tab that Mac OS X provide. You can check the battery percentage of your AirPods and AirPods Pro.

Note: While the software is classified as free, it is actually donationware. Please consider making a donation to help support development.

Bug Fix:
  • Regression has been found on the v2.2.4 which fixed the compatibility with Mac OS Monterey 12.3. The regression was when the case battery data was not provided, then the left and right airpods battery were not displayed.

Would get 5 stars if I could set an alarm when my battery gets to 10% so that I can recharge without losing connection to my Zoom call. My Airpod battery life is getting worse (about 12 months old) and they die as soon as I hear the battery warning. Displays the status of each Airpod in the Menu bar which is very handy but would be better if I could set an alert when they're at 15% or 20% battery life so I can pre-emptively charge them before they die.

It's quirky. There are times when I'm using my Airpods (Pro) all day. I'd hate for them to run out of juice, so I downloaded this. When I'm using them, my phone is busy, as am I, so I can't start flipping and swiping to query the battery status. But I can surreptitiously check the menu bar. Maybe. The app doesn't always connect to, or stay connected to my Airpods. When it does, the feedback is handy, and appears to be accurate. That's one star off. The other issue is that it installs itself as a startup item, and I can't find a way to change that. Since I only use it when I need it, I don't want it starting automatically. It irritates me that I have to stop an app immediately upon startup. That's another star off. I sent feedback to the author, so we'll see if these are addressed in future releases.
