Go64 overview

Go64 quickly scans your disk for applications and shows you which ones are 32-bit, 64-bit, Intel-only or optimized for Apple Silicon. It'll even take you to an app's website if you need to look for updates or upgrades.

Note: While the software is classified as free, it is actually donationware. Please consider making a donation to help support development.

What’s new in version 1.4

  • Added an option to filter the list of applications to show CPU architectures that are not Intel or Universal.
  • You can double-click on the separator between column headers to automatically resize a column to fit its contents.
  • When saving the results of a scan, the architecture of applications is now exported along with the other information.
  • Fixed the formatting of exported application information that contains tabs, carriage returns and other special characters.
  • Updated terminology such as "preferences" to refer to "settings" when running on macOS Ventura and higher.
  • Go64 now correctly reports the developer and website for Akai Professional and Cycling '74 audio apps.
  • Fixed user interface layout issues on macOS Ventura.

What a brilliant app! It found 51 conflicts for me and kept track of my progress over 2 days working on resolving them. Helped me appreciate how I didn't use some apps for years, helped with update links. Worked so smoothly that its just a real pity that it isn't a app I'll need to use again, now my transition to Catalina is complete. Excellent app throughout.

This was really useful for hunting down my old 32 bit apps (mostly Adobe!).

Makes me sad. Some of those 32-bit apps are awesome. I do love that you can click to go to each company's website, can show in finder (of course), and that it found things in the System Application Support folder. The Last Used column is helpful. I guess I shouldn't be too sad because I haven't run many in a few years. I like this too - shows a yield sign for - "It may or may not run correctly on macOS 10.15, depending on how the app handles situations where its 32-bit components would normally be used. Check for a more recent version or contact the application's developer for more information." This company has been around forever. I trust them. I do recommend adding an app that cleans out all the related software (just be careful) when you delete the app (you can in the app).

Why use two apps when one does the job? Furthermore, Go64 interface’s is great and getting better with each update.
