Pasta overview

Pasta is a beautiful and flexible clipboard manager for the mac. It saves everything you copy to your clipboard so you can reuse it later.

Features:
  • Pasta's flexible grid interface helps you to better see your clipboard history so you can quickly find what you're looking for.
  • Bring up Pasta with a keyboard shortcut or using the menubar, double-click the clipping you want to restore, Pasta then gets out of your way.
  • Filter your clippings by the app where they were copied or by what they contain. Finding a clipping has never been so easy.
  • Pasta's powerful search can find clippings by content, application, type or even the window's name.
  • When copying sensitive information from apps like 1Password, Pasta will obfuscate it on screen and will encrypt it when saved to disk.
  • Pasta supports macOS Mojave's Light and Dark modes.
And Much More:
  • Works nicely with Universal Clipboard
  • Quick look images, text, website links, etc.
  • Enhanced representation of color codes, calendar events, links, etc.
  • Touch Bar support
  • Shortcuts for everything. You won't need the mouse
  • Use the anchor button to keep the window on top
  • Drag and drop clippings onto other applications

I simultaneously run Copy 'Em ★★★★★, Paste Queue ★★★★★, LaunchBar ★★★★★, Copied ★★★★+ and Pasta ★★★★★. Each offer different conveniences. I use Pasta as an archive. LaunchBar ease of access. Copied for cross device lists. Copy 'Em for fast cross device and collecting multiple future pastes. Clean it out every day. Paste Queue for collecting clips on a specific topic from a specific source and then creating a new document from the Paste Queue list.

I tried and used at least 6 different applications, until I came across Pasta. It is easy to use, convenient form of squares, which are not too big like in other similar application. Just right. Easy to see the clips. You can drag the clips to create collections or categories. By dragging, the original clip remains in general clips list. But it can be deleted by right clicking. The number of raws and columns are adjustable. Excellent little program.

I don't even know that kind of tool was available. I checked it yesterday and I believe it will stay for a long time. I do support and I copy and paste lot of stuff, pictures, text, links... Pasta will help me save time for sure. I already use all kind of tricks to spend as less time as possible doing support.

Why does Pasta connect to the site when copying url from address bar in eg Safari? Like, if I select 'https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/61149/pasta' in this address bar, Pasta makes a connection to Macupdate.com.
