In Snake Quest, your basic goal as a snake is to get all the jewels in a level. However, many levels will have a goal other than collecting jewels, such as reaching a specific destination or simply staying alive for a period of time. All the while, you may have to solve puzzles, avoid or collect objects flying across the screen, or use teleporters to move from one area to another. Snake Quest offers an unlimited possibility of level types, from arcade-style gameplay to a challenging puzzle mode. Snake Quest also includes an editor, allowing you to make your own challenging levels and send them to the Snake Quest site.
What’s new in version 1.0.1
Version 1.0.1:
A rare condition where the player's snake would sometimes die because of a rapid key combination has been fixed.
An issue causing Snake Quest to remain open with no windows open has been corrected.
Ummm... I opened it recently and it stated that this free beta has expired and that I need a new one. But 1.1 IS the newest version on their website, and it hasn't been updated in a long time. So am I to assume that I can't play Snake Quest again?
One can spend a lot of time on this free game. There are multiple levels of difficulty (I've reach 10 so far) that you progress to as you catch the required number of jewels. Just watch out for running into yourself or getting hit in the head by one of the flying red arrows.
Hey all!! This is the best game for all ages! With skill, fun and tension all packed in one, you get hours of fun with friends, family or by yourself!
Simply collect the jewels and the bubbles for bonus, and you are away!! Watch out for the arrows though...
This the best spin on Rattler Race I have ever seen. The graphics are really nice and smooth. However, the sounds are really pathetic, hence the "4" rating. It runs a little slow . . . but I've got a rather pokey computer (ya think that has anything to do with it?). Snake Quest is pretty simple, but the developers did a nice job with making it original.
