Hey Guys!
I hate to be the dissenting voice here against your product but I feel I have some very valid concerns about your Camera Guard for Mac and your business model.
I bought this product outright about two years ago. It's not cheap software. I was surprised and a bit disgruntled to find out that a purchase only contained a license good for one year. However, I figured once I bought it, I wouldn't need to buy updates. I mean, I own the product outright and it should keep working.....right?
Well, after a year, the product stopped working entirely. I give kudos to you guys that upon contacting you, you send me a new license to keep my purchased software running.
But now? I keep getting pop-ups reminding me that my Camera Guard license has expired though the product will keep working. This is not just one pop-up reminder, mind you, but constant pop-up reminders.
I would include a screenshot of the annoying pop-up but you can't attach files here.
Why are you guys doing this?
What's worse is that the cost of upgrades is exorbitant. You want, I believe, $29 a year at least for upgrade privileges after I spent that much for the program itself.
Guys, I hate to say this, but it's highway robbery.
Listen, I paid for this software. I don't reminders that the license has expired. I would probably support upgrades if you priced it reasonably, say at $10 a year. However, at the prices you are charging I can't keep renewing this software and I certainly don't need my purchase copy littered with pop-up reminders.
Is there anything you can do about this before I uninstall the software completely and find another product that does the same thing with a one-time purchase?
Thank You for understanding.
PS: There is software much cheaper out there -- in fact here is one that is completely FREE -- that does nearly as good a job:
