Transnomino overview
Transnomino offers a set of renaming actions, ranging from simple text replacements to more complex replacements using regular expressions (regex). Any number of these actions can be placed in sequence and you can directly preview the results while you create them. Renaming sequences can be saved as a recipe to be re-used later.
Numbering can be added to the beginning or end of the filename. It's possible to exactly specify the number of digits to allow for better sorting of the files by filename. The files in the list can be dragged and dropped to change the order.
All renaming actions can be applied to the Name, Path or Extension of the files.
Transnomino supports insertions of File Attributes from the files like: EXIF, ID3, FLAC. And if EXIF GPS Longitude and Latitude data is available it is even able to use this information to lookup Address information.

What’s new in version 8.8
New Features
- Changed "iTunes" file attributes to "AV" for audio/video attributes.
- Many new file attribute additions and changes.
- Date/time file attributes now support the colon character in filenames, which for example enables showing time like this: 8:23:10. It is using U+A789 Modifier Letter Colon Unicode character as colon.
- Holding Option key while Dropping files into Transnomino will now append the files without asking if the files need to be appended or replaced.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed drawing of file attribute tokens for macOS Sequoia.
- Fixed issue causing customisation of numeric file attribute tokens not to be saved.
- Fixed issue causing Copy of a regular expression to not always copy the whole regular expression string onto the pasteboard.
- Fixed issue in configuring Numeric file attribute tokens. Configured settings did not save correctly and further editing of the text field was getting blocked.

I got through most of my files and was ready to contribute (like 50,000 files I think), then it started crashing on me. I just want it to work again! I'm on the latest Mac OS. Would love a developer response. Is it limited to a certain number of renames? Because it worked perfectly until it started crashing. I highlight 50 to 100 files at a time like I did before, then right-click and "rename with Transnomino" - then Transnomino crashes/disappears. I also tried opening the app and doing it via file open - no luck. I can now do maybe one file at a time with Transnomino.

I have been using Transnomino for a long time and find it better than paid for apps. The developer has always been responsive and very polite. If you are looking for a file renamer, I really like how you can create "recipes" that you can save and use different "recipes" depending on what kind of renaming you need to do. Very well done and so many options, but not cluttered. Very easy to use.

Great app. Saved me lots of time with regex, plus the regex helper tool is great. Regex can be a bummer to learn, and this makes it easy peasy.
