- Fixed bug in which Type Style drop-list was always disabled at a couple of places in the Type palette.
- Fixed bug in which new Arrow presets could not be added to the preset list from the Attributes palette.
- Fixed bug in which some Arrow type indicators did not show up in the Presets palette after they were added from the Attributes palette.
- Fixed bug in which defining complex selection area in the image with the Lasso tool was slow.
- Fixed bug related to rolling up some palettes and closing them.

The latest version is 7.075 which was released on July 10, 2021, and no updates have been posted since. The software is Intel-only - their website says "Canvas X Draw will run on Apple M1 chip computers using Apple's Rosetta 2 technology. We do not have a timetable for the native platform at this time". I've also found several show-stopper bugs e.g. if you have an external monitor with a different resolution to that of your laptop then the graphics is all messed up making it impossible to do your work - literally no other program I own has an issue with this except for Canvas. At this point, I'm quietly wondering if the developers are once again withering on the vine...

Been my go-to but does not work in Monterey. Just starts to open then crashes. Tried reinstalling. No luck.

I have been using Canvas (Canvas Draw now for both Mac and Windows) for decades. In my experience, it is the best drawing application, hands down, because it is powerful and flexible, yet intuitive and easy to use. And here is a 10% discount code:

I have been using Canvas since the mid 90's (on my former MS Windows platform) and since I switched to the Mac version in 2016, I was forced to purchase version 4 in 2018 to stay compatible with Mac OS updates and now again in 2020 because of the Mac Big Sur OS update. That's twice in 4 years. Canvas now considers everything over 2 yr. old to be "legacy" with no support. To top that, a Canvas update is now only available on a 1 yr. subscription basis. I don't know what the future holds for Canvas, but it will not include me.

I like the updated program, tried it, saw $90 and was ready to purchase, when I discovered it's a subscription price. No thanks. Five stars for the program but only one star because of the pricing. Probably go with Affinity Designer.
