TextBar overview
TextBar allows you to use scripts to add anything to your menu bar.

After the latest Big Sur update, on restart, Apple gives a warning that this app is malware.

Great App and the developer seems pretty active updating with new features. There are other free solution too so you might want to check http://shellwrangler.com too.

OK, I had to upgrade this to 5 stars. The Dev has fixed the graphic glitches as well as adding script actions to the scripts.
