BusyContacts for Mac
Fast, efficient contact manager.
BusyContacts is a contact manager for OS X that makes creating, finding, and managing contacts faster and more efficient. It brings to contact management the same power, flexibility, and sharing capabilities that BusyCal users have enjoyed with their calendars. What's more, BusyContacts integrates seamlessly with BusyCal, forming a flexible, easy-to-use CRM solution that works the way you do.
BusyContacts syncs with the built-in Contacts app on OS X and iOS, and supports all leading cloud services, including iCloud, Google, Exchange, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
I've owned BusyContacts and BusyCal for many years (and Now Up-to-Date and Contacts before that). I've paid hundreds by now for my use of the programs. The subscription model every 18 months would be okay, but the bloodsuckers at Busy have now made it impossible to open the program without checking for updates. It's such a waste of time to have to update their program every bloody week. Moreover, I can see how this will work when my updates end. I will be pushed into updating to a version which is not covered by my license.
Previously there was an option to set update check to once every month. Not any more. Looks like I'll have to block Busy in Little Snitch. I'm a paying customer and the Busy barons have basically made their software unusable and taken over my computer. Just stick to Apple Calendar if you can. Apple Contacts won't sync with WebDAV and BusyContacts is the only useful contact manager which can. Stay away from Busy if you don't need WebDAV or you find an alternative.
