Version 1.2

Phone App overview

Phone App lets you call from your Mac via your iPhone -- with the phone still in your pocket! Just type any phone number you want to call and press Enter, or start typing one of your contacts' name, and it will instantly search and show the top three matches. Runs directly from your toolbar with a less-is-more interface. Phone App makes calling via FaceTime easier than ever before. If you like the app there are some goodies inside for in-app purchase including dark theme, hot-key activation, hiding the Dock icon, and start at login.

Note: This app provides a faster way of using FaceTime and iPhone FaceTime cellular calls from your Mac. To get everything running, make sure you meet the requirements listed below and follow the help guide inside the app.

Note: The application is free to download from the Mac App Store, but you can upgrade to Phone App Pro via an in-app purchase.

In the case of all telephony apps it would be very useful to be told whether they are Bluetooth dependent (like Phone Amego) or not (like Cobook), since so many of us are currently unable to pair our iPhones with our Macs when running Yosemite.

A tad of redundancy here as Spotlight (Command-Space) will allow you to do the same when typing in a contacts name -- though just typing in a number will not work with Spotlight so I'll give some points here. But for the rare occasion I need to call someone from my mac who are not in my contacts and is not a number recognized through data detection -- I'll just fire up FaceTime and plug it in there. To me true minimalism is utilizing existing resources rather than installing additional ones which clog up your machine over time. Just my 2 cents! But hey, for the most part the app is free and I'm sure fun to use! :)

A number format bug sneaked in to this release, a fix for this has been sent to Apple. Sorry for the inconvenience!
