Well, I tried this free version. The first time I used it I found that there is no way to specify in which format you wish to save the document. It saves as a Word 97-2004 document but when you try to open it in Word the document contains additional text.
The second, and each subsequent time, I tried to use it I was confronted with a box urging me to upgrade to the Pro, or Premium, version. The box to upgrade is grayed out and the gear continues to spin until the box is closed. I went to the developer's website but could not find a place to get information on an upgrade.
I have removed all files connected with this piece of software.

I'm always looking for a word processor that is simpler than MS Word, but at your price point I think you should provide a demo for Quick Word Writer. I would not be willing to take a chance for $25.
