Cisdem PDF Toolkit provides a set of utilities to simplify working with PDF files. It can easily merge PDF files into one single document without limitation on file size; split PDF files into personal PDF's to customers, associates, and employees; compress PDF files to speed up large file transfer and reduce storage space; and extract images and texts from scanned PDF files.
Features
- Extract images and texts from scanned PDF files - Combine large PDF's and arrange them in any order. Just drag-and-drop any files into the app window, and it will merge different pages of invoices, bank statements, contracts, or e-books.
- Split PDF files to single PDF - Just drag-and-drop a large PDF to separate. It can easily split PDF's to multiple parts to keep or remove. Then you can name the split output files in sequential order for easy identification.
- Compress PDF files to speed up large file transfer and reduce storage space - Compress PDF Files in 5 Modes: lossless, average image quality, low image quality, normal compression, and minimal compression. PDF's can be compressed 40%-60%, but maintain the original PDF format.
- Images and texts can be easily taken out from scanned PDF files - You can extract images and text from scanned PDF files. Just turn on the "OCR" button, which allows you to extract all images and text from PDF documents with unlimited support for over 49 languages.

I put this app to work with great results. I took more than 100 pages PDF book on writing with lots of graphics and text, which was nearly 45.5 MB. After using PDFToolkit to compress, the size was only 19.8 MB. And the speed is OK.

Not so bad! To merge, split, compress and extract text & images, it provides a better pdf solution and enables me to do more about pdf! Useful and efficient! Works well!

Rubbish for compression!
I gave it a 2.5MB PDF to compress and it told me all of the different compression options would result in a 2.47MB file. I chose the "Low Image Quality (72dpi)" option, and it generated a PDF file of EXACTLY the same byte size as the original!
I subsequently tried the same original PDF file at the free www.smallpdf.com website and that compressed it to just 129KB.

At work, I need do much with PDFs. So it's very suitable for me. I can merge, split, compress and extract image and text with it. What's more, it's efficient and easy-to-use! Just drag the PDF onto the the window, and then choose my action. Really right-hand of my life!
