I don't want to slag OneShot while it's still in beta. But it continues to disturb me that the developer's site has a link to downloading it from the Apple store, has had for a couple months, and when you click the link you learn: "Item Not Available The item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store." So what Apple store is it available in? Any? I'm not fond of misrepresentation of software. I've never seen this before. It bothers me.

Like a lot of people, I'm withdrawing my use of Dropbox following what IMO are some incredibly tone-deaf decisions (multiple) by the company. There seem to be a fair number of people doing the same thing, so you might want to look into making this product available with other cloud APIs as well, such as Copy.com, Box, OneDrive, etc.

Something seems sketchy. I downloaded and it immediately asks for apple password. Tried entering it, and it said that my password is wrong then disappears. Try to go to the developer site, but it 404s. I'm changing my Apple password.. Seems like phishing software.

The link downloads a BETA version of this software. The developer is in Nigeria. I have nothing against Nigeria but I have a lot of something against over a decade of non-stop Nigerian Internet scams. This software has NOT (yet) been approved by Apple for the Mac App Store, despite links at the developer's sites to the contrary. There's a line between FUD and being wisely paranoid. Hopefully, this will simply be a great addition to DropBox. But be aware and wary. I personally am going to wait until such time as Apple actually approves this software for the Mac App Store.
