Notifyr overview
Notifyr lets you keep your phone in your pocket and still know what’s going on. Stay up-to-date on your incoming WhatsApp messages, know when someone's calling you, or read any of the other notifications from any app on your iPhone. And to prevent confusion, you can mute apps so you won't receive notifications from apps that are also running on your Mac.
When you walk away from your Mac, Notifyr disconnects from the system, and automatically reconnects whenever you are in range. And because Notifyr uses Bluetooth Low Energy, you can keep using Notifyr all day without it draining your battery.
Notifyr is compatible with the following desktop systems:
- Macbook Air (2011 or later)
- Macbook Pro (2012 or later)
- iMac (late 2012 or later)
- Mac mini (2011 or later)
- Mac Pro (late 2013 or later)
You'll also need Notifyr for your iPhone 4S or later, which you can purchase from the iTunes App Store for $3.99.

I'm afraid El Capitan (and the last couple of releases of Yosemite) has killed this app. Doesn't work anymore, which is a real shame! Hope the developer corrects it.

Great concept but unfortunately the app will not stay connected to my Mac. It disconnects almost immediately, plus it was very troublesome to even get my Mac to see the iPhone in the Notifyr preferences pane. Hopefully an update will fix. I am using an iPhone 5 and a Macbook Pro Retina 15" 2012.
