What's the name?? The MacUpdate listing says it is "Cleaner for Memory ... (was 'Memory Diag')", as opposed to the "Whats's New comment that says "Version 2.4.6 App name has changed to Memory Diag"

The actual name of this app is 'Memory Cleaner', as found at the Apple Mac App Store. I have no idea why it's wrong here at MU. What's annoying about this app is: A) It pushes ad popups on the user, B) It phones home user data to Google Analytics. ? Homey don't do that. -> Note that this is one of FOUR apps specifically named 'Memory Cleaner', which of course causes utter confusion. -> I have this particular 'Memory Cleaner' installed, but I don't use it. Instead, I still use Rocky Sand Studio's previous free app, no nags or phoning home, named 'Free Memory'. It still works perfectly on Mojave. It was discontinued in favor of 'Memory Cleaner' for reasons listed above.

Installed and running albeit not sure what it proves. When ever my desktop iMac (2 core) with 12 GB RAM goes/acts extremely sluggish i simply restart. Also it is my understanding the Yosemite has built in memory optimizations that more or less scoffs at this types of memory monitors.

Yay, from the makers of previous snake oil memory optimiser, comes the same thing with prettier graphics... To quote an older comment of mine: "Countless highly trained computer science engineers have built the virtual memory system across multiple OSes in this way. Do you really think a single line command or some two-bit app developer somehow can do something the most highly skilled (and in Apples case probably richly paid) CS engineers have failed to understand for years? Again, read The Memory Optimization Hoax by sysinternal engineer Mark Russinovitch (Windows VM is largely similar). " Rocky sand studio, nor anyone else have ever made a reliable test case to show these optimisers do anything but damage performance objectively...
