Screenshot Path overview

Screenshot Path lets you change the folder where OS X saves screenshots. Screenshots are saved by default to the user's desktop. This is handy for the occasional screenshot but those looking to take dozens or hundreds of screenshots will want to use Screenshot Path to set up a custom destination to avoid cluttering up the desktop.

What’s new in version 1.4

Version 1.4:

Note: Now requires OS X 10.8 or later

New:
  • Accepts folders by dragging them onto the main window and sets them as the default folder.
  • New minimum OS is macOS 10.8.
  • Screenshot Path is now ready for macOS 10.14 Mojave, including dark mode support.

My GoTo when I need to change screenshot formats Many sites want only JPEGS, while I prefer PDFs, to add pages. So unless you like to constantly fiddle with File > Export, or Terminal entries- this is the perfect app! Worked for 2 years, and runs flawlessly! Excellent support too. Rich Mac Lion - ElCap

Seems to be really nice app. There is no need to mess around with terminal commands. No drawbacks so far.

Do you really need this app? Unless you are novice you may manage all these things manually. Google for articles or check Apple Support Communities. It is not a big deal to change screenshot path via terminal.

I love this app. Works perfectly and I love that it gives me the date and time of each shot. I'd ask only 2 things of it (one's easy, one maybe not so much). 1) I would like to set it to LEAVE the .jpg or .dng suffix in the filename, instead of hidden. I email these often, and can't count on Windows machines having a clue what I'm sending. And 2) I'd love the option to use an extra keyboard shortcut to have it come up with the save dialog - JUST in case I want to name the file when I create it. Sometimes, it's a problem to go through a stack to find what I want based on dates and times. Otherwise, this gets an A+. Thanks!
