Even though th recent updates have only been small (mostly bug fixes) it's great to see this, my favourite writing app for longer pieces (and I own practically all of them), under development again.

Okay. I gotta accept this. This app is toast. Tanmay put the Mac app on the back burner to put time in on the iOS version. But the word is over there that he's stated somewhere that the phone app will no longer be maintained. So, as the last update on the Mac version here was well before the phone app....sigh. So advice is requested: What could replace this app? Even thought a few little elements of Write could have been baked a little longer, it got so many things right! Here's what I like most: * Keeps files in txt format, and anything can work with one of the files in Write, change it, and it opens right back into Write. * Files are kept in a delightfully organized fashion, but the app doesn't require some arcane, proprietary database structure to handle them. *Beats Ulysses here.* * Nested folders are elegantly rendered. Allows projects to be handled the traditional way. *Beats nVALT here* * Works politely with Brett Terpstra's Marked 2. *Beats Ulysses here.* * It's darned pretty! *Beats virtually EVERYTHING here* I have become resigned to some very good software being abandoned after making a certain amount of money for its developer. Hey, that's the developer's choice. And usually, I have just found something else that will slide under my work and take over. BUT, in this case, I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING!! Anyone got any ideas?!

It's a pity this app is no longer under development. Out of my whole bevy of writing apps (Scrivener, Ulysses, Storyist, iaWriter, ByWord, Haven, Typed, uFocus, etc.) this is my favourite for two reasons: available on iPad, iPhone and Mac; 'Rich MD' mode which gives you the flexibility of markdown without all the clutter (although you write in markdown, it looks like rich text). Although it appears to have been abandoned, it still works fine in El Capitan and iOS 9.

A recent update of the iOS version mentions that it is not under active development anymore. I am assuming it is true of the OSX version as well?
