LilyView overview

LilyView is a lightweight, mutli-touch-friendly image viewer that's handy and doesn't get in your way.

LilyView Features
  • Lightweight: There's no image library to load, you just browse images in a folder.
  • Chromeless: No controls are visible until they are really necessary.
  • Multi-touch friendly: You can literally touch the image when using a trackpad, but LilyView works just fine with keyboard and mouse.

LilyView is a simple and easy to use application ... and gives you the ability to manage your photos. And I think the team of this application will bring more tooling thereafter

I really like LilyView’s simplicity based on its uncluttered interface and the ability to use gestures. But… I tested this app with two different window managers with snapping functionality: Window Magnet ($5) and Spectacle (free)… With the first app none of the shortcuts worked while with the second app they worked but buggy. I really appreciate if the developer could add full support to Window Magnet’s shortcuts and other window managers with snapping functionality. Despite of this detail... This app is just awesome!

The automatic zoom feature is not functional correctly. It can only shrink a large image to fit the screen, but failed to enlarge a smaller image to fit the screen. "Keep Zoomed" is not a good choice since the image may differ in size. And there is a potential bug in full screen mode with auto-zoom enabled: press Opt+0 will enlarge the image to fit the screen, but it will automatically shrink back to actual size the moment you release Option key. Sound like a joke, but it did happened.
