No three ways about it. Customers purchased licenses through an ADNX partner bundle and ADNX depreciated the licenses post purchase.
In case you don’t get it, the customers are the victims here.
So only two ways about it: Was the customer sold a full license by a partner unauthorised to do so, or was an authorised license depreciated by ADNX after the partner legitimately sold it?
ADNX, simply publish for affected customer consideration the licensing agreements that were entered into between ADNX and its partners (such as Macupdate), as ADNX either approved the bundle sales of the original non time-limited version licenses, or it didn’t. Google KOINGO.
Notwithstanding, the claim that ADNX “had no other choices” other than to cancel and re-issue time-limited subscription licenses after purchase is, quite simply, a lie. The licenses sold and purchased in partner bundles were NOT time limited, yet ADNX unilaterally chose to make them so after customer purchase.
ADNX could have simply honored the licenses as sold and, by its own statement of claim below, taken a 0.2% hit on licensing income from the current version. That 0.2% loss was a “choice” ADNX declined.
Instead, ADNX chose to rip-off the customers who legally purchased ADNX software in a bundle, and make the customer the victim by depreciating their licenses after they had made their purchase. That was the “choice” that ADNX made.
As with the KOINGO fiasco, your disagreement with Macupdate does not give ADNX the right to unilaterally cancel or depreciate legally purchased licenses. The issue appears to be that either ADNX or its partners have not honored a licensing agreement, which has led to the victimisation of the customer (again, shades of Koingo).
ADNX, were Macupdate or other partners acting in good faith in selling the bundled non time-limited licenses? If so, reinstate all licenses, unrestricted as they were when advertised and sold.
Or was ADNX misled by Macupdate or other partners in terms of bundled licensing? If so, you have grounds (as does the customer). But you seem to have obtusely claimed everything BUT that the licenses were not valid as sold.
I am on the fence, but it appears that either ADNX or its partners sold full licenses under false pretence. I honestly don’t care, except for the fact that what I purchased has now been stolen from me.
ADNX can clear this, and its reputation, up by simply and clearly stating partners had no authority to bundle the full non time-limited licenses that ADNX subsequently revoked.
However, if a partner had the authority, and ADNX decided to retrospectively revoke all pre-2016 licenses that had already sold in bundles, then ADNX needs to honor (and reinstate) those licenses, as they were not sold with a version license expiry date.
Last, your claims that I created this account simply or solely to trash your company is libelous. I created this account some time ago, well before you revoked my licenses.
Also, despite your earlier claims to the contrary, I have been in direct contact with ADNX to complain about your unilateral depreciation of my legally purchased non-time limited licenses. ADNX simply claimed the sale of time-limited licenses is the right of the developer. And that it is. However, the revocation ‘bait-and-switch’ of already purchased unrestricted version licenses to force them to a 12 month subscription is not.
So, which is it?
Did ADNX not honor the licenses it agreed that partners could sell, or did a partner not honor the licensing agreement it had with ADNX?
Again, in case you don’t get it, the customer is the victim here.
No three ways about it. Customers purchased licenses through an ADNX partner and ADNX depreciated those licenses after purchase. So only two ways about it: Were customers sold full licenses by ADNX partners when not authorised to do so, or were legally authorised licenses depreciated by ADNX after customers purchased them?
Don’t fill your response with ten paragraphs of obtuse distraction. Just answer the question:
Did I and other purchasers of ADNX-partner bundles:
(a) Purchase an ADNX authorised non-time limited license as was advertised, or
(b) Purchase a license that was not authorised to be sold by ADNX.
Thank you
