Just finished another screenplay written entirely in FadeIn and it just quarter-finaled in a comp. Just a smooth five-star app that delivers the goods.

I'm a professional screenwriter who used Final Draft for many years (too many!), then Craig Mazin talking about this on the ScriptNotes podcast and decided to give it a try. It does everything better, is much cheaper, is constantly being updated, and has never once crashed on me. My one complaint about the inability to change fonts and sizes on the cover page was recently rectified in an update, so all I can say is: I love this app!

After years spent using Movie Magic Screenwriter (bloated and expensive) and Montage (buggy and antiquated), I decided to give Fade In a try. It took me all of about three minutes to realize that the program works completely intuitively, has all the features I'm likely to ever need, and is very reasonably priced. I'm loving it so far. The one question I had was very politely answered by the developer within two hours of my email. To be honest, I couldn't be happier with this program.

I would love to jump over to this… unfortunately, the fatal flaw with Fountain/Fade In/Highland for me is that they are screenplay only. If any of them had a stageplay option, I would be able to bail from Final Draft completely. Unfortunately, FD is the only one with templates for playwrights.
