I've been using Filebot to rename TV series, but I have to keep using VLC to get subtitles.
The subtitles feature doesn't really work in this Filebot. It says it uses OpenSubtitles.org, the same that VLC uses, but it won't work without registering a username and password, which makes absolutely no sense, since no registration is required.
The VLC plugin can also find by name and hash, so I would really love to see Filebot evolve to be able to do this. It would help getting subtitles in batch instead of one at a time with VLC.
I love this app, but it looks like there is no longer a free Mac version, however there is a portable java version.
I took the 4.2 app, and copied in all of the files from the portable version into the app package, and the missing libraries, and I was able to get a working 4.5 version.
It's a great app, but sad that there is no longer a free Mac version. It is free on every other platform, but on Mac, they make you buy it from the app store.
