OpenDrive overview
OpenDrive links you directly to the cloud by creating a virtual drive accessible through the Finder. It allows you to open, modify, and save files just like a traditional drive. Keep your most important files backed up to OpenDrive for access anywhere, at anytime, from any Internet connection. Share your memories with family and friends, or stay in sync with clients and colleagues.
OpenDrive integrates seamlessly and gives you instant access to the cloud for sharing, backup, and online storage.

OpenDrive is available at various pricing plans. The Basic Plan is free for one user and you get 5 GB storage, 1 GB/day bandwidth, 200 KB/s speed. For premium users OpenDrive creates a zero-knowledge encryption folder, "Secure Files", where uploaded files are encrypted with strong AES-256 encryption on-the-fly. The encryption key never leaves your computer and files are encrypted before they are sent to OpenDrive servers.

Really did not like the lack of warning that the Finder would be Quit during the installation. Nor did I care for the lack of asking me if I wished to have this app set as a Login Item.

5GB free is OK for a free app. I like it andI can use the free storage of my Data. Very nice little app. Easy to use.

I l like that they fixed all those bugs, and now Opendrive works faster. Anyway, not so perfect for me as Dropbox. And 5Gb for free it's not enough. If they provided 15Gb like 4Sync for example...But I think not in the nearest future. Anyway I wish this service further development.

Could be a great vehicle for collaboration with some work. It already has multi-user accounts (not "sharing" a file), encryption and versioning. However, the slow upload speeds are a deal breaker. I got better data rates than June8 did, but not high enough to make it useful. Too bad.
Picky, I know, but I hate the way it plays the system alert sound every time one logs in. Don't make it big production--just log in and get on with it.
