QR Journal allows users with an iSight (or iSight compatible) camera to read QR codes. Found a QR code in a magazine or catalog? Simply hold up to the iSight camera to scan, store and browse to. Received a QR code in an email? Just drag it into QR Journal to read it.

I have been looking for a free and working QR code reader for a while. QR Journal does a great job. Runs under Big Sur as well as Ventura. 5 stars from me.

v2 is able to generate QR codes, great! There's one flaw that was already present in former versions but has worsen: when you resize the window, chances are that it won't display correctly or at all at next run. In that case, you can find it in the menu and tinker the size hoping to find one that will be ok for the next time... :-(

Works great!! Had my students download and use on Macbook, so they could use it with new textbook - NO cellphones!!
