So we're at version 15 now, did Navicat made version 12 crash free in the end? No, they did not. This software, now at version 15, still crashes without warning, totally unacceptable. Errors in sotware should be caught ands dealt with, applications should not crash. What Navicat did do is to remove the forums form their website where one could check if you are the only with problems. Besides the the (very) poor quality of the software enginering there are many, many interface glitches, dumb UI issues that could easily be solved if Navicat actually was testing their own software, which they obviously don't. Poor, poor programming .. The only reason I still use it that sometimes when it doesn't crash can do things other apps can't, their http tunneling is as far as me concerned their only added value. Syncing is a very handy feature especially using the http tunnel as a lot of hosting companies don't offer SSH.

I am a (very) long time Navicat user and version 12 of Navicat is about the worst piece of software I have seen in many, many years. Version 12 is a complete rewrite of their "engine", Navicat was starting from version 9 becoming more stable and stable. Version 11 worked fine for me.Starting form version 12 it has become an unusable piece of crap. Reported many bugs to Navicat and so did others. Last year I have purchased a long-term maintenance license, soon after that version 12 was released. If you are planning on buying, download a trial version first and try the functions you might use before you buy. Totally unacceptable alpha quality.
