Wondershare doesn't honor purchase agreements! I've paid for a LIFETIME DEAL with Filmora 6 incl. all future upgrades and updates to the application. This worked fine until recently when Wondershare decided to introduce subscription plans and reneged on their lifetime deals! Really bad business practice and rather typical of Asian companies to shift the goalposts in agreements. The company now refers to its existing pricing schedule, which states that the perpetual license is only for the current version. This wasn't the case when I bought the app for a premium to secure access to the lifetime deal (which worked fine from version 6 through 11).

I don't understand all the negative reviews for Filmora.
I purchased this software long ago, when it was still iSkySoft Video Editor. Support at Wondershare was awesome, and they honored my previous license when it became Wondershare Filmora.
I'd been looking forever for a video editor that works the way that my brain expects a video editor to work. I'd tried all the big ones, even FC, but none of them worked the way I wanted them to. Filmora does. Editing is linear and layering video, images, and audio just works flawlessly.
It imports a ridiculous amount of file formats (I haven't found one it can't handle yet), editing is quick, there's a plethora of free, downloadable transitions and elements, and file export times are fast even on my elderly mid-2012 MacBook Pro.
The thing I like most about it, though? No media library! So many editors, like iMovie, require your videos be stored in a "media library" from which to choose them from. Filmora lets you drag media from anywhere. I can compile a video from many disparate folders and file formats and I don't have to worry about building a media library to store my components. It's one of my favorite parts of the software.
We do a podcast that occasionally has video editions, and Filmora is my go-to. It's my absolute favorite video editor, hands down.
Now... let's just hope they don't change it.

This App leaves a lot to be desired. Constantly does not recognize the target disc to burn a completed project. Attempts to contact the support group has gone nowehere. Leave messages, no one responds and there is no directions for how to overcome this problem. I am really sorry I wasted my money.
