PlugSpy overview

Plug Spy is a first-rate tool to observe your Mac. It activates automatically on-screen lock and triggers actions in case of unexpected occurrences. Instant notification on your phone will give you additional security if you leave your Mac alone.

Instant Protection to Catch a Thief
Plug-Spy lives in the OS X system menu, ready to observe your Mac. Select one of the Action-Sets and you are done. Plug-Spy will activate its sensors' on -screen lock and trigger actions based on predefined rules.

Doing It Your Way
Action-Sets are based on sensors, user-defined rules, and resulting activities. No matter if you want to know who is waking your Mac or entering a wrong password in your absence, Plug-Spy can trigger actions based on your requirements.

Sensors and Actions
Sensors currently available are observing the MagSafe adapter, computer power-state, connected screens and login window. Any sensor activity can result in an alert sound, iSight snapshot, local notification, a Boxcar or Pushover message to your phone, or a post on Twitter.

Celmaro, you said it's invisible in the system. I see the app is available in App Store. If installed from App Store, will it also be invisible?

For the developer: This is a tiny gripe, but you have the word "Access" spelled as "Acccess" several places in the interface.

Ok so it does what it says it will do. Sound is pretty loud and would definitely catch peoples attention. Fatal flaw though is that you can just turn the laptop off within 5 seconds by holding down the power button and the sound will stop. Also turning off the laptop doesnt set off the sound so defeats the whole program. It takes snapshot but you cant do much with them as they're on your laptop which probably got stolen. I'm going to stick with prey http://preyproject.com/ which is free and has more features. One last point is that you shouldn't be stupid enough to leave you laptop unattended without it being locked up in any place where someone might steal it. That is just dumb.
