v2.9.9.11 is out. Compatible with macOS 15 Sequoia. Annoying: It connects to Google Analytics. It also wants to connect to the developer on port 80. These days that means your ISP gets to spy on you via that port and do whatever it likes with the data. Blocking any of the above will cause attempts to watch videos to fail is an "InvalidMedia" error. And the app is slow. As such, I can't recommend it. ☹️

v2.9.9.9 is out. It's compatible with macOS 14.x Sonoma. Be sure to check out the MediaHuman site for further apps, most of which are free. I HIGHLY recommend YouTube Downloader, $20. It's brilliant. You're unlikely to find it here at MU because of its function.

This application still has one of the best interfaces I've used (other than MacTube) that is uncluttered. The current beta uses the new Google-imposed format too.
I look forward to tweaks for keyshortcuts and more control over sorting the search results, i.e., by date, by text string, etc., which is really important when looking for video on Youtube.
I would be willing to contribute some $ towards this application as well, especially if I don't have to go through AppStore to get this.
