Flexiglass overview
Flexiglass enables some of the missing features in OS X window management and offers an extremely convenient way to move, resize, maximize, and close windows on a Mac with a mouse, trackpad and keyboard.
- Move and Resize: Usually, when you want to move or resize a window on a Mac you are limited by its title bar or lower-right corner. Flexiglass enables more comfortable window management. To quickly move or resize the active window just place the mouse cursor over it, press definable key and start dragging windows with left or right mouse button.
- Quick Layouts: If you used to work with more than one window at a time Flexiglass will help you to arrange windows on your screen any way you like. Just move a window to the right, left or top, and it will automatically resize and move itself to fill the half of the screen or full screen.
- Quick Layout Shortcuts: User-defined shortcuts allow users to move windows to the right, left, top and bottom halves of the screen or to maximize them to full screen and back to original size.
- Multitouch Trackpad and Mouse: You can use finger gestures on your macbook trackpad or Magic trackpad to move and resize. Flexiglass is able to save different settings for a trackpad and a mouse and automatically change them when you plug or unplug devices.
- Double-click to Zoom: Double-click on window title bar is the easiest way to expand it to full screen.
- Real Zoom and Real Close: You can change the default behavior of standard Mac OS X buttons. Right-click on the green Zoom button will maximize a window to full screen. Right-click on Close window button will quit the whole application.

Link is dead, presumably because Nulana was bought by Acronis. I doubt they are interested in having this mac utility as part of their suite so it might be gone for good.

"Unfortunately, Flexiglass has been discontinued", as they say on the website. :-( For me it is/was the best windows management tool ever, after trying BetterSnapTool, Cinch, Divvy, Moom, Rectangle, Windownaut and probably some other! It works perfectly here on 10.11 and hopefully on 10.14, never had a crash of any kind.

Constantly crashes.
I really love the app as it makes all the snap to top/side "windows" features just work. Unfortunately, this always crashes. Often needing to force kill and restart the app multiple times a day.
It's pretty worthless without actually being able to run.

I appreciate "Input Monitoring" is a new Security & Privacy category. But what, precisely, does Flexiglass do with the data input it "monitors" (= captures...?). All keystrokes in ANY app...that's the nightmare stuff of Keystroke Logging Apps formerly and widely regarded as Malware
I have never ever seen an app request or require let alone granted this degree of "Privacy" invasion. I believe a fuller account of what Flexiglass monitors and how it is securely flushed from VM, RAM without hours and hours of "monitored input" being compressed to a few Kb's and sent to an insecure server in a nanosecond?

I have been a longtime user of Zooom, but it doesn’t work with some apps any longer (Opera browser, for one), and it’s no longer being supported. There are a number of window organizers available for Mac, but I don't want to just move my window to a corner or to the top or to the bottom. I want the complete flexibility of using a key or keys and moving my mouse over the window to resize or move, just like I could do in Zooom.
Flexiglass does exactly that. It does more than that, actually, but that was the selling point for me. I downloaded the demo from their website (yes, a demo, almost unheard of anymore) in the morning and bought the app in the evening. I didn't need the 15-day demo period to know I was going to buy it. It works perfectly with all the apps I use every day and all the browsers I use.
I did have a problem with the app not accepting my license key, though, and I sent an email to the support address. I got a response in NINE MINUTES! Good to go!
