Unfortunately, it's not Silicon Mac M1/M2 compatible, wants to install Roseeeta. Too bad, wanted to purchase it. Developer, please update!

This isn't a review, but a comment. "DupeZap" (which I have not used) and "TidyUp" (which I have) are from the same developer, Hyperbolic Software. (I have recently reviewed "TidyUp" favorably on MacUpdate.) It's not exactly clear what the difference between the two is, although "TidyUp," which costs $10 more, is described as a "must have for pro users." From the company's marketing standpoint, it might be helpful to more specifically delineate their differences. The developer is EXTREMELY RESPONSIVE to comments and inquiries, and has always replied to me personally and promptly. Note his reply below (under the name "Giuseppegiu") from 5/29/12. He has been perfecting his products for years, obviously takes great pride in them, and you get the sense that he's a meticulous software engineer. World class software and support -- a model for the industry.

I've been testing version 4 of DupeZap on High Sierra and have had no issues. The folders I've scanned are not packed full of large files (photos and PDFs mostly) so the scans have been quick and effective, and it finds multiple duplicates while giving me easy to understand options for dealing with them. The check box option for removal was a bit confusing at first as I thought I was checking the version of the duplicate that I wanted to keep, but as I went to process the removal I could tell from the clear language in the interface that the app was asking me to check the items I wanted to remove. Other than that the experience was intuitive and modern/clean looking. I invite any power users out there to test the trial on some more substantial folders full of larger files to really put it to the test. I'd be interested to hear how it fares. Barring that kind of test, I can confirm that the app is stable, effective, and easy-to-use for the average Mac owner.
