This program crashes constantly. The image looks great but only allows me to view pictures by hitting the left arrow. If I hit the right arrow, it crashes. I have tried for days but cannot find anyone who supports the product. I am using the latest Yosemite on in iMac 27.5 Retina Display.

I really like the idea of a simple no-frills, drag-and-drop image viewer with either thumbnails or full frame. But this crashes constantly on my Mavericks MBP. Stepping from image to image using the arrow keys crashes it every time. Using the mouse scroll wheel or UI buttons works fine though. I find the UI often crashes leaving an empty black panel with no images visible. I have to quit and restart the app to fix this. Also usually crashes when switching to thumbnail view. Would also prefer if the open file dialog didn't open automatically on start-up (I like to drag and drop) It seems very unstable - is this just a OSX 10.9 issue?

It's definitely just a viewer - not good for anything else, not even renaming. You gotta love keyboard shortcuts to love this app, and I don't. The toolbar only has basic functions, you can't even rotate or trash a file unless you use a shortcut or do it from the menu. Only 7 preferences that don't offer any real customization. I HATE not having a sidebar with thumbnails visible ALL THE TIME. There's no fast way to jump to a specific image in a full folder. I also don't like the hiding toolbar - although it appears quickly, it still takes longer to press a button than if if were always there (should be a preference). JustLooking offers more features (including resize, rename and a thumbnail window) and is FREE. It's not perfect, but better - it offers a bunch of preferences and can be set to replace Preview as the default image viewer. https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/23377/justlooking Only tested this briefly on 2 folders, so I can't comment on stability, but since I must provide a rating I'll give it a 5 since I didn't see any negative comments about crashing or freezing.

Hmmm. Promising alternative to my current image viewer sequential. For now, sequential beats Viewer hands down when it comes to both speed, stability and functionality, but sequential doesn't seem to be updated anymore, so therefore i'm looking for alternatives. I really think Viewer has potential though. It's minimal, simple, looks rather ok (it falls short of being beautiful though) - just what i look for in an application. But, for now, it doesn't have what it takes to become the default image viewer, at least on my computer. Cons (IMHO, of course): - HUD instead of a proper main window. It's not wrong, just look weird. - Doesn't remember (or keep) previous window size and position. - Sometimes opens up obscured by (overlaps behind) the dock. - All animations are jerky/laggy (Quad + 6750m iMac) - Thumbnail mode in fullscreen has no pointer to select with. - Zoom is rather clumsily implemented, and not very smooth. - Perhaps it's too minimalistic (never thought i'd say that)!
