very poorly optimised and in general unusable.. tested on 19 000 vids library
even without crashes I would not recommend it.. terrible ux and does not support .avi .mkv .flv .wmv

I've been searching for an alternative to Adobe Bridge to manage my growing video file collection. Cinematica is fantastic except for one missing feature which for me is really very important; to be able to easily filter by date created. I know that I can create a Smart Collection and then use the appropriate criteria but even that is not very straightforward. There is no equal to operator which means I have to create two criteria to filter to a specific date. If you can add the feature to be able to filter by date, I'd immediately buy Cinematica! Thanks!

Cinematica is a fantastic video manager. I am very fond of the storyboard feature. Retina images look stunning. Unfortunately, I have a small monitor and I couldn't find a way to hide the sidebar and the left and right shelves to have a complete view of them, so they appear incomplete. Other than that, every feature is spot on.

There is a huge need for something in this area, and I purchased this. Pretty impressive overall but is missing a couple key features that if implemented would be huge.
1) The ability to relink files. For instance, when working at the office some video files are attached via USB drive. However, when I arrive home they are on a network share. I'd like to be able to relink(similar to how Final Cut does it).
2) Use QuickLook within the app instead of launching Qucktime or the Finder.
Other than those 2 features, this is a great app and has a lot of promise. Nice work, guys.
