Even after reviewing the Bitnami website and Wikipedia page, I don’t understand what better about this than using the actual WordPress installer. People that don’t know what they’re doing from a code standpoint aren’t going to use this and just use Wordpress.com instead. People that do code can install WP the regular way just as quickly as using this. So what’s the point?

WordPress 3.0.4 Critical Update just came out. It is suggested that everyone update immediately. The email I received stressed the urgency. I guess that's why they call it "critical".

You have to laugh. At the WordPress.org website they say WordPress is famously easy to install!
When you download the .zip or .targz file what you get is a folder full of .php files with no hint or instructions where to start or even what is what, let alone what to click on. Clicking on the Index.php file just opens DreamWeaver or TextMate.
What is it with developers? How do they expect to program for users when they can't even think through the process of starting the thing up, let alone what happens after that.
