GV Connect Widget overview
GV Connect Widget is a companion app for Google Voice.
Are you looking for an easy way to call or send SMS messages to your contacts using your Google Voice number right from your fingertips? GV Connect is your answer:
- Call or send SMS messages to anyone from your computer's Address Book database or your Google Contacts (or by manually entering any other phone number) right from your Dashboard.
- Select which of your registered phone numbers should be called to initiate the call.
- See total number of unread messages in your Google Voice inbox.
- See your currently available balance for making international calls.
- Verify location and local time of the number you call to avoid waking up people in the middle of the night.
- Quick links to directly open your Google Voice inbox, billing history, and phone setup pages.
- En-/disable forwarding numbers and do-not-disturb status for your GV number.
- Growl notifications for new incoming SMS an voicemails (optional, requires Growl installation)

Widget claims no Growl installed with Growl 1.3.3 -- Growl support is broken currently...

Since upgrading to Growl 1.3 via the Mac App Store, this widget no longer recognizes Growl as being installed (presumably since the Growl Helper App no longer exists). Are there any plans to get this widget updated to work with the new Growl?

I just donated to the developer to show how much I appreciate the hard work put into this.
I have to ask if it was also possible to accept calls using this widget?

perfect! you nailed it. only thing i'd like is the same thing that person above mentioned - empty the comment field upon submit - OR - a little "clear info" button that just empties phone and text if desired (i often text myself, so leaving phone in place is perfect for me)
fast, simple, uncluttered, works like a charm...
