Pianoteq overview
Pianoteq is a physically modelled piano. Its tiny footprint (just 50 MB), playability (models all 127 midi velocities) and flexibility (offering unique physical parameters) makes it truly unique and superior to the sampled based variants. Pianoteq is supplied as a standalone instrument and as a VST, AudioUnits, and AAX plugin.
Demo Restrictions:
- 8 notes are disabled (silent): F#1, G#1, A#1, C#5, D#5, F#5, G#5 and A#5.
- Must be restarted after 20 minutes.

- Fix issue with plugin window size on Windows, when multiple displays with different scaling are used.

Version: 6.1.1
Update from 5 to 6 started to get the excellence of a real instrument. Dynamic more than the other high end samplers. Fine details and interaction, depending on the version a lot of possibilities to fine-tune the instrument.

Hands-down the greatest physical modeling piano. The new upright piano add-on is superb. You will probably still need one or the other piano sample-library, but Pianoteq has always come in handy. I've also used it for live concerts, incl. solo performances. For the production side it still needs some ambient noises, though, creaking of the chair, the pedals etc. But what am I complaining? Really really good virtual instrument.

Another update (4.2.1) is out:
- New instrument in the KIViR collection: the Neupert clavichord.
- Pianoteq now has a velocity curve for the aftertouch (polyphonic AT and channel pressure).
- The graphical keyboard of the interface can also trigger aftertouch messages by clicking a key and dragging the cursor up and down.
