v5.33 is the current version. There are two options. One version is FREE for non-commercial use. The other is for commercial use with a few different purchase options. The Subscription version starts at $2.77 per month. The standalone version starts at $34.99. ['$19.99' is erroneous]

Poor converter in any aspect. Bad quality, bad interface (why a Windows-a-like ui?), didn't accept M2ts files, bad control/options. Nope... Handbrake is also free and ahead of this.

The first (and last) time I tried to convert a video, it immediately asked me for my password so that it could download some additional software. Then it would not let me cancel that, and just gave me the SBOD. I even had a difficult time force quitting it, but finally managed to do it. MacOs X.6.5 MBP

No matroska conversion function (that works), no test, no sale. (sorry) The only video conversion still needed for the Mac must convert FROM matroska (including softsubs to hardsub support and multiple sound streams) consistently, and allow quantizer settings (none do, yet... most fail miserably and output looks look terrible as well), and a matroska recoder would be a nice thing to see, as well.
