MountnuoM is just another GUI for diskutil to mount/unmount volumes.
Features:
Mount hard disks.
Unmount hard disks, AFP / SMB netshares, iDisk, disk images, flash drives, CD/DVD media (hard disks partitions will be unmounted, other devices will be ejected)
Displays icon, node, name, kind, format, size, free disk space and S.M.A.R.T status (for supported devices).
The actual view will be updated automatically, S.M.A.R.T status will be updated every 10 minutes.
Much faster than Disk Utility.app.
What’s new in version 2.1
Version 2.1:
64 bit support.
Displays icons.
RAID volumes are treated correctly.
Displays correct size on both Leopard and Snow Leopard systems.
Fixed a problem which causes MountnuoM to hang at launch time.
On a MacPro 3.1 with Sonnet SATA PCI card and FANTEC eSata box / 4 HD in JBOD I faced constant unmount problems with usual Mac commands or using Disk Util (mostly HD sleep mode interfering). This little app makes wonders. Never a single HD hanging again. Ask Mountnuom to unmount all 4 HD or more together at any time. They will go steadily in a row without a hitch. Version 2.1 on SL 10.6.8
Great time saver...
I agree, menubar would be great and I'd gladly pay a small fee for that convenience.
Does anyone know if this is Snow Leopard ready? I just ordered a new Mac and it'll have SL.
Thanks again
With all the HDs I have hanging around, it serves me to a T. I agree with PERCEPIED, would love to see it as a Menubar Item. Why not make it Donation Ware?
