I was very enthusiastic about this app (see my last post). However, FileWard is not fully compatible with Big Sur. I have tried to contact the author numerous times by various means. No response. This is not acceptable for a product that is still being sold.

Very good program. I prefer to encrypt individual files and folders rather than the whole volume. I also prefer to keep these files/folders organized as I choose rather than move them to a vault. FileWard does it easily. It also allows for the selection of the encryption algorithm. Keep up the good work.

The registered program for this is very nice. It not only allows encryption of individual files which is nice to deal with a "container," but also allows plain text to be copied to the clipboard and then pasted encrypted. I'll leave an example for you to try out. Copy the string below to your clipboard then open FileWared>Edit>Decrypt Clipboard. Then perform a paste to view the new unencrypted data. Password is "test" all lowercase without the quotes. I think that is such a cool feature. *** Begin FileWard Encrypted Clipboard *** .ld4 U2FsdGVkX1/vJgo8kVNIE0Ihl/EwiTJ0WIYvAknEvJ44Or0z7hISpvjqFle+9oF7 xXROEprfdu6036Poioud/K8CxGX6bzSRRZ0C0ctFCm2afDb1xD10zxRl5wRJNE4x 27qblF2CpxXIg/vxEjVkVPEf+xNY0J2602AmjmvfDFaFpHy2/u78ohAH/73uPYNP b0Q2PTHk3zcG8SdeztQbJPedp77eXVhznpEC/eGMO0wIyddpWCJCN9YprrNQAgkJ 7zmq00o1zqL6y54I1TiiEI1zTPrGSoq75GSymYJuSoVp9jRNjWdy1p0IqR9r2t8J 4ncPsjp+d8kIGfc2n9439VtB74rs+wnsOBSEaVx7xEjQLE6oCLZ05wRAhbbaqIWI zRZ/VjQRvbmSKexQKLDUqUKVPDLkBT2nJzGlmfSdNjwP/66kQGkWVOK7Yufa/bYE Duiz48q2ywmv4GNpo1JeBqokdFZQeFsYBigcfpjZu5PZS9Bt0DrsceN/X48CyLFe WK0IS8YrUKNU0zi7vB4on8imD9/f1kncIyV+CF0ovgsfhqJYGj0Msgy8rdTKip19 XbRlyr4A2Ge26DeeGrofkaOJ1bC0lZJpHK5US+AKWgWJ485zH0rdMJWV1ztwOCzU Gj1PsBLzD6VOS62MSudT7apovNDpm9WIuy6rXJNdStPb87G9r8pqBv2hUg0kJqla 61YpvcAnOF9TXSmQ/jP7DjN7LX46aJ7hfgiAbxt2s0gNDywgCs71wmZdbr3I0uT/ dIPoKvxJsfaWYUK6AdmNCnN7x+jrobLPe9jDPiNQzw6XAJ6+NtFjJsJUd2rufaio PZoOvjLY+Ugqr8FEKJB63grxvVYuK6pSZqBELZdp6bbttM7e+Frptvd1cZ7gkI+5 ro4Eh6idaE539Qri7ftSI1U6fZdEiN0/SWwDCNyj2wablaGyb+nhB1WAk/2M0uvr eiYdt29Zu7YcQdrYm32Hix1mwvzst0YNyrFX+HzizHFCtaxqCrSB2zdBH8Jmm5H3 +/OucwRdmhvxF+2KrhE2B/A+TB970PaAMY4XyDWvw1s= *** End FileWard Encrypted Clipboard ***

It really looks good, nice GUI. BUT: Every time I quit FileWard and start it again, it forgets my reg-data. So I need to fill them in once more. That silly behaviour keeps on.
Mail to developer, says "maybe a damaged preference file, please delete it". But nothing changes. Further Mails have no reaction. So I asked for refunding my money and they did.
No further reaction.
Not the best support in my opinion...

I purchased the App Store version of FileWard (FileWard DES), and it's incompatible with Yosemite. This version, which requires a serial number, is compatible with Yosemite. Is this a free upgrade for those who purchased the App Store version, or is the App Store version going to be upgraded to work with Yosemite?
