Nisus Writer Pro overview
Nisus Writer Pro is a powerful multilingual word processor, similar to its entry level products, but brings new features such as table of contents, indexing, bookmarks, widow and orphan control, cross references, line numbering, and text wrap around images.
Familiar Classic features are also on board, like attribute-sensitive find and replace, an upgraded Nisus macro language, and glossaries.
We have also improved a number of existing features. For example, we've added a variety of additional options to control the display of notes. Footnotes can now also span across pages.
What’s new in version 3.4
- Fixed: macOS Sonoma crashes and compatibility issues.
- Requires macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) or later.
- Fixed: Compare Documents macro does not work on newer versions of macOS.
- Fixed: text glyphs that draw outside the text area (e.g. low descenders) are no longer clipped on macOS Sonoma.

Every Mac User has Time Machine. Installing new software without having a Time Machine backup amounts to playing Russian Roulette.

I'm surprised to see you are using TextSoap with Nisus. Everything TextSoap does Nisus can do too! I stopped using TextSoap when I realized this.

It feels like it took forever to get dark mode, but it's a really nice dark mode. I've always loved the speed of Nisus, particularly compared to its MS behemoth cousin. The overall layout and approach of Nisus just makes it a joy to work with.

I use it every day in conjunction with TextSoap https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/8974/textsoap to create PDF news summaries and PDF "work books" with wide margins for use with an iPad and Apple Pencil.
