It also has some functions that might encourage you make entries in your diary everyday. So, even if you've tried in the past to keep a diary and failed, Clover Diary can help.

In addition, it can make html files, so you can add your diary page to your home page.

There is no option to recover your password. Forget your password and all of your writing is lost forever.

I like it. Very simple and very clean (important to me). I usually don't attach multimedia files, just typing text. Very cute mode button and very convenient weather button.

I tried this out yesterday despite the warning about the hidden email link (which didn't set up on my MacBook Pro in Snow Leopard) because Clover has some nice features like quick weather and mood selectors. However, it also has no means to import data, so it's of use only to someone just starting a diary or journal, not to a long time user. The English version is fine throughout, no forgotten Japanese-only text. I also don't see provisions for images or file attachments yet. Maybe in time, it'll be a more powerful tool, but for right now, it's really pretty basic with a couple of unique features that would be nice to see in competing apps.

Tried the software once and didn't care too much for it. Opted for viJournal Lite instead. However I noticed I was getting emails on local mail account daily. Come to find out it left the following entry in the crontab. /usr/bin/open -a /Users/XXXX/Downloads/untitled folder/CloverDiary.app/Contents/Resources/DiaryChecker I am not impressed at all.
