Veusz overview
Veusz is a scientific plotting package, designed to create publication-ready Postscript or PDF output. It features an easy to use graphical interface as well as a command line interface and can be scripted or embedded in Python scripts. Graphs are constructed in a modular fashion from separate components. Datasets can be interactively modified or created from within the program.
Veusz provides a GUI, command line, and scripting interface (based on Python) to its plotting facilities. The plots are built using an object-based system to provide a consistent interface.

Sounds like it might be useful but won't launch on my M1 Pro MBP 16 running Ventura. Get message "...is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Bin."

This is a damn fine app (v2.x); it makes beautiful plots and does an excellent job of handling the multitude of options for customizing a plot appearance. And now, v3.x adds 3D plots; this is an awesome addition!
And I just wanted to get the butt-headed comment from 2014 off of the top of this list.

This app cannot read delimited text files. This glaring deficiency makes it useless, and worth its price.

Looked promising but couldn't plot some ternary data I had. Spent a couple of hours getting nowhere, the tutorial instructions didn't match what was happening on screen and all my efforts to import, plot and generate useful results failed. The plot of my ternary data did not match the values in the spreadsheet/data table, so no go. Tried it, didn't provide me with required plot, have deleted it and now looking for alternative ternary data plotting app - and they appear to be very rare!
