For Several years now I have been using a Calendar called Sunbird. It has a problem running quickly on more recent releases of OSX . So I was pleased to find Preminder as it was basically a similar design and features. Unfortunately after 2 weeks of trying to use Preminder I reverted to my copy of Sunbird and the $20 I spent is no more. The major problem with Preminder is the Documentation, or more accurately the lack of it . The only copy I found was on-line via the browser and is woefully scant. Even that should be in the form of a downloadable PDF. The lack of clear illustrations and explanations of the features, fields, preferences is very frustrating. One is often left guessing is this or that the correct action, and why is it wrong or right. My overall impression of Preminder is that it probably had the ability to meet my needs exactly. However the lack of good documentation is its downfall.

Just on principle alone, I am giving this a 5-star rating to offset the half-star rant. I can readily interpolate from other people's comments that this developer has, indeed, provided far more in terms of a demo than most programs offered even in the days before the App Store. If you want to rant, use the "Review" feature. It is unprofessional and immature to hurt a developer who has done something decent.

This is a fantastic app. I've found it to be much easier to use than iCal, and obeys more Mac OS conventions as well (iCal's a bit of an odd duck). My only request is support for adding files to items on days, or to be able to launch a file based on a day or time. That would rock. Regarding the half star rating because someone didn't like the trial version's restrictions, that's just being petty. Especially considering that the App Store doesn't even allow trial versions. For developers to offer a trial these days, it means they're going out of their way to offer something to the user that *most* developers don't offer. If you don't like it, that's fine. But your half star 'rating' doesn't help you, or the developer, or the Mac community. It only discourages developers from offering trial versions at all.

Over priced. Too restrictive trial conditions meant it was launched once then dumped into the trash. Come back with a better price and a less restrictive demo condition and it will get a better look.

I have to say this is the best calendar I came across with Mac. It is easy to use and looks good. Much more accessible then Icalendar.
