Quickscale overview

Quickscale is designed to let you batch resize a collection of photos. Why would you want to do that? Suppose you want to share your holiday photos with family and friends; you might send them by e-mail or put them somewhere on a website. The problem is that these photos are often large and thus take far too long to upload and download.

Meet Quickscale: Select the images, choose desired resolutions, dimensions, and formats, and Quickscale scales them down and reformats them for you.

Note: This application contains in-app and/or external module purchases.

This product requires a $3 fee to enable all its capability. However I could not find any information as to what features are enabled or restricted until you pay. My best guess is that batch processing is disabled until it is purchased, I personally find this kind of market to be predatory.

I've been using QuickScale for a few years, and still find it the best app for quickly resizing images. The interface is clean and easy to understand (well, except for the Location section, which doesn't fit with Mac conventions). The ability to set presets makes it easy to repeat tasks. The only thing I'd like to see is a droplet feature that would enable me to drag files onto the droplet and have them automatically resized without the need to even launch QuickScale.

Presets are aviable. Please check out the menu. There are some sharpen tools available. More tools will be added in the future (optionally).

Very pricey for not having presets and a sharpening function.
