Kinemac overview
Kinemac is the latest version of the famous 3D Real Time Animation Software for macOS. It allows you to create your own professional 3D and 2D animations with the utmost simplicity. Take a look at the stunning 4k movies created with Kinemac. Kinemac 2 is a 64 bits application. It uses great technologies as AVFoundation to manage your video and audio files and to smoothly export your animations to a movie file. The app comes with a new look and feel, new icons and GUI, and it's tuned up to run on macOS Catalina+, Retina displays, in light and dark mode. Kinemac is easy and intuitive. Just drag your images, texts, movies, songs, vectorial logo and 3D models onto the Kinemac stage and get them within your animation. You can further quickly use the built-in objects as cubes, cylinders, spheres, tubes, pies, rectangles, disks, 2D and 3D Text and animate your actors with a pair of keyframes. - Kinemac is a Universal app natively running on both Intel and Apple Silicon processors.
- When opening a kmc document file, Kinemac will automatically convert it to a unique kmcp file, which is a file package containing the kmc itself plus a "Media" folder containing all the textures linked to the document file. You should rarely need to look within the kmcp file package, but if you really want, in the Finder, you should Control-Click on the kmcp file then choose the "Show Package Contents" menu item from the contextual pop-up menu. Please note, Kinemac prior versions than 2.0.6 cannot read the kmcp files. You can open and convert the kmc to the new kmcp file just dragging the kmc parent folder over the Kinemac Stage Window, then File:Save the new document.
- Fixed a bug at importing OBJ materials defined in the mtl file.
- Fixed a bug on the 2D Scrolling Text object.
- Other minor fixes and improvements.

Kinemac version 2 runs on macOS 10.13, Catalina and Big Sur. It's a 64 bit application notarised by Apple tuned up for light and dark mode and retina displays, with new features and a new look and feel.

A few days ago the developer emailed me an offer to upgrade to Kinemac v2, which now runs under MacOS Catalina and Big Sur, for $29. I run Mojave so didn't run into the compatibility issue with Catalina. If anyone upgrades to v2, please leave a review so I know if it's worth upgrading. Thanks!

No longer works with Mac with Catalina installed, so until it is upgraded it is therefore useless for us using the latest Mac operating system!

I got this at a special on here in June 2014.. I thought they were having a sale because they were going to update it.. but no, they just refiled their pockets ;0) Considering all MacOS Core changes since 2012.. would be nice seeing them adapt.. or breathe even?! The World did not come an end remember.
