What’s new in version 4.6.6

  • Fixed an issue where a feed’s New Feed URL would not be preserved when using iCloud.
  • Fixed an issue where an iCloud save may never end when “Store unpublished enclosures in iCloud” is enabled and there is an issue with one of the enclosure files.
  • Fixed an issue when the editor window may not respond correct after dismissing a date picker’s calendar with the Esc key.
  • Fixed an issue dealing with scheduled items that have been deleted.

I have used this app for years to publish my two podcasts on iTunes: Medical Spanish Podcast and Spanish Grammar Review. It is easy to use, works flawlessly and even more importantly, the customer service was phenomenal.

Absolutely loving Feeder V3! All my V2 feeds came across no problem and the app works for me perfectly. The ability to use Markdown is also a welcome feature. Highly recommended app for anyone hosting a podcast feed!

For years I have used Podcast Maker by Lemonz Dream to create my RSS feeds for podcasts.. It worked beautifully until Yosemite came out and now it hangs on launch. It appears abandoned by the developer. I searched to find a good replacement and found options to be limited. Feeder seemed to be the most full-featured and capable of handling my needs so I contacted the developer who responded almost immediately (a good sign). It took me a little bit to catch on to the differences between it and Podcast Maker. I had a little trouble with the upload directories in the previous version, however, version 2.56 resolved all those issues and now works perfectly. I initially did not think the ability to share to social media would be significant, but it has been. It has dramatically increased the hits to my podcast. I am extremely happy with Feeder now. Thanks to Steve at Reinvented Software for his help getting started!

I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade but for the life of me I just can't see how the developer justifies a price tag of $39. I've recently become a big fan of RSS feeds and I've used a few of them but there are some really cool free and cheaper alternatives. In the Safari browser one can install an extension for Google Reader called Google Reeder Snow Leopard which instantly transforms the Google Reader interface into a gorgeous Mac interface. This extension was the missing touch to Google Reeder and I still find Google's implementation to be the best... for free. Again I find no fault in this app but the price is a bit steep.
