goSerial overview

goSerial is an application that lets you talk to serial devices.

This type of application is often referred to as a 'terminal' because it mimics the behavior of the terminal hardware that was used to communicate with servers and mainframes in the old days.

This version does not do any terminal emulation (VT100, etc.) though.

Looks very promising. Please add VT100 support, the Mac is in desperate need of an alternative to Zterm.

Damn, I was thinking to myself "what's wrong with 'tip'?" ... so I tried it... % tip tip: Command not found. What sort of BSD is this that doesn't have "tip"? Oh well, at least you can still get Kermit from Columbia.

Just needed a quick way of testing the serial port using a keyspan USB adaptor. This application was just what I needed. I've used quite a lot of these types of application in the past and this one looks like quite good.

Sorry, doesn't work - it tries to start and disappears immediately. Running it in a terminal gives lots of errors like: ZeroLink: could not load .o file: /Users/andreas/Developer/Projects/goSerial/build/CommX.build/goSerial.build/Objects-normal/ppc/ Looks like you've forgotten to bundle some things into the app.
