This app. has the same limitation as Delicious Library and every similar one I've seen. It may be fine for e–books but can't handle all the incredibly large number of books downloadable in PDF format from such sources as Google Books and Internet Archive. I doubt I'm the only person in the world who has a lot of these accumulated on my h. d. and urgently needs help in riding herd on them?

Not as pretty as Delicious Library but does the job and seems easier to enter your own info with plenty of options. These are 3 different programs one for books, audio and videos. You get a free scanner if you have it shipped instead of download. I have used it for years and it has never failed me or my family.

I use Readeware VW version which sorts movies. I have the server version on my linux box and run readerwaewv on my Mac's PC and linux no problems. I like the simplisty of readerware and the spider/scrapping is great for the information. I wrote on my powerbook and convertion program that takes an export CSV file from readerware and cleans up the data nad populates a SQL database (mysql). I then designed a web interface to display the data. Take look at the info page http://www.presswise.net/readerware.html its free and easy to use. You will find links to a forum on readerware, plus you could go to readerwares own forum they could help you install. To view online movie data exported from readerware: http://www.presswise.net/cgi-bin/dvd/displaymovie.cgi

I've been using ReaderWare for a couple of years now and really like it. I originally used it under Windows XP, and then migrated to the Mac version when I switched over to the Mac for all of my personal computing needs. The Mac version has all the features of the PC version; both version have a somewhat odd-feeling interface, probably due to its Java roots. It works great for me, though, and the developer provides good Mac support! One especially nice feature is the ability (with the PalmOS-enabled version) to upload your database to your PalmOS-based PDA! I find this very useful, as it saves me from buying books I already own (something I've been know to do from time to time...).
