I was ready to buy Nissus Writer Express until I found that the header/footer. cannot be deleted from any page., period, That kind of idiotic design tells me this software will be a pain in the neck.
Glad I didn't buy it.

With the Maverick’s version of Pages taking some giant steps backwards in terms of features and functions, I am now going to give this and the Pro version of Nisus Writer a hard look, since I really don’t like working in MS Word if I can avoid it.

It seems that in terms of useful features Pages from iWork9 cought up with Nisus Express. In fact like more expensive Nisus Pro, Pages have the table of contents option. And it's all for $19 , as opposed to $45/$79
Perhaps I missed something, but what's the advantage of going with Nisus Express?
